Glacier Perito Moreno, located in the southern tip of Argentina in the Patagonia region, across the Southern Ocean from Antarctica. The Southern Patagonian Ice Field is the 3rd-largest ice field in our planet, after Antarctica and Greenland.

Glacier Perito Moreno is larger than the entire Buenos Aires city, and it keeps our planet cool by reflecting back 40-80% of the sunlight. The glacier is 30km long, 5km wide, 700m thick, and 40-70m high. Gigantic ice chunks constantly crack off the face, known as “calving”, sending huge waves across the lake and producing overwhelming sound – Definitely fascinating to see the remains of past Ice Ages up close and personal.
