Originally I planned on staying in Uruguay for a week. But later I realized there was not a whole lot to do in Uruguay – Most people who visit Uruguay do a day-trip to Colonia / Montevideo from Buenos Aires. Since I spent relatively little time in Chile and Uruguay, I will have an extra week to spend elsewhere and will be heading further east to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Calle de los Suspiros, or “street of sighs”, is the street where prisoners had their last breath heading down the hill before their execution.
