Mojito, plantain chips, and black bean salsa.

La Bodeguita del Medio (“The middle townshop” in Spanish) is a typical restaurant-bar of Havana, Cuba. It is the birthplace of the Mojito cocktail, a traditional summer drink that consists of rum, sugarcane juice, lime juice, mint, and water. Replicas of the Cuban restaurant can be found in many countries such as Czech Republic, Costa Rica, and the US, where tourists and locals come experience Mojito.

Cuba is a Spanish-speaking island country located south of Florida in the Caribbean Sea. Prior to 2013, traveling to Cuba used to require a letter of invitation and an expensive government permit. Although the relation between Cuba and the US has improved over the years, you still have to jump through hoops in order to visit the country: Under the Trump Administration, you can either travel to Cuba in organized tour groups, or independently under the “Support for the Cuban People” category – Intended to strengthen civil society in Cuba. In short, the Trump Administration may discourage travel to Cuba, but he is not making it impossible either.
