I experienced two dishes in Little Armenia: Mante (Armenian dumplings with yogurt & tomato sauce) and sarma (rice and vegetables rolled up in grape leaves). I love the mante a lot; I started peeling the leaves off the sarma until the server told me that the leaves are edible. Oops.
St. Garabed Armenian Apostolic Church (Christianity).
Within the Little Armenia / East Hollywood area is the Church of Scientology (remember Tom Cruise?). Out of curiosity I walked in there and they gave me a guided tour and had me watch some promotional videos!
